For the fifth call of the BAT Salon of popular art, Colombia Pluriethnic and Multicultural, the organizing committee has decided to pay tribute to Maestro Eduardo Muñoz Lora, who with the ancestral technique of the mopa-mopa or Barniz de Pasto, have earned him a Great national and international recognition as one of the most outstanding popular artists, it was not for nothing that UNESCO nominated him last year to the Unesco Recognition of Excellence, Andean Region 2014. Considering the quality and excellence demonstrated in the knowledge of the trade, its authenticity as an expression Of the cultural identity, its innovation and original in the design.
“The BAT Salon of Folk Art is the only space that exists to recognize the work of the empirical artists, it is a very valuable support with which we count the artists in the regions, it is the alive expression of the town”, affirmed the outstanding artist.
